Milwaukee Proves Challenging for
Fogleman
June 5, 2008
Jay
Fogleman started fifth at the Milwaukee Mile on May 31 in the USAR
Hooters Pro Cup Sears Auto Center 150, but mechanical gremlins
during the event prevented the team from scoring a good finish.
"We had a good racecar," said Fogleman, driver of the
Speedco / The Works/ Jfco Motorsports Ford Fusion, who finished on
the lead lap in 17th.
"The Milwaukee Mile is a little different than any other track
we race on," continued the short-track specialist from Durham,
N.C. "it was challenging getting the car right in practice, but
we had it pretty decent for the race before some mechanical issues
bit us. We never got to show how good the car really was."
Crew Chief Darin Odle agreed.
"We unloaded in practice and struggled," Odle said.
"Finally we got the car right, until we had mechanical
problems. The race certainly gave us an education, having not
been there before. I look forward to going back there; give this one
to the Milwaukee Mike, but the next time it's ours.
Odle observed that despite the disappointment at Milwaukee, the
team's spirits are high.
"I like racing with Jay as much as anybody I've ever worked
with," he said.
